Das wellenförmige Traktionsmuster weist eine Reihe von kaskadenförmigen Stollen auf, die so konstruiert sind, dass sie mehr Oberfläche des Air Zoom-Elements nutzen und gleichzeitig den nötigen Grip bieten. Die Höhe der Stollen entspricht der Höhe der traditionelleren Mittelstollen von Nike, was die Traktion aufrechterhält. Weiterentwickelte Chevron- und Klingenstollen passen perfekt zur wellenförmigen Traktion für Beschleunigung, Verzögerung und alle Arten von schnellen Richtungswechseln.
Nike Gripknit nimmt jetzt noch mehr Oberfläche des Stollenschuhs ein und ist das klebrige Material, das für ein besseres Ballgefühl beim Dribbeln mit hoher Geschwindigkeit oder beim Torschuss sorgt. Zudem passt es sich der Form deines Fußes an und bietet dir bei allen Wetterbedingungen den gleichen Grip für eine geformte, von Spikes inspirierte Passform. Die Mikromoulding-Textur arbeitet mit dem Gripknit zusammen, um sich an deinen Fuß anzupassen.
Das nahtlos integrierte Obermaterial aus Flyknit, das für Geschwindigkeit entwickelt wurde, sorgt für eine perfekte Passform. Atomknit, ein leichtes und starkes Flyknit-Material, an den Seiten bietet Halt und reduziert das Gewicht. Diese Materialien bilden das bisher dünnste Mercurial-Obermaterial.
